AV Installation And Service Technician

The successful candidate must possess excellent customer service skills, a strong work ethic, excellent organization skills and a solid understanding of AV Systems and troubleshooting.

Technicians will provide ongoing technical and operational support of audio visual equipment and systems, as well as service and maintenance. Responsible for setting up, installing, operating, testing, and troubleshooting audio and video equipment, to include operating, maintaining, distributing, installing, configuring various electronic products while ensuring their optimal performance. Install and replace hardware components, e.g. LCD displays, Direct View LEDs, Audio Systems, Media players etc. Perform remote and onsite troubleshooting of installed systems Diagnose, repair and test AV Systems and associated equipment Perform system configuration, leveling and wiring Load and retrieve software configurations and programming files Provide high-quality telephone and in person AV support Pull wire through conduit and surface runs, terminate. Qualifications: Education/Experience High School diploma or general education degree (GED) Minimum of 2 years’ experience in AV industry; or combination of education and relevant AV technical Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Thorough understanding and working knowledge of AV technologies to include the ability to perform testing, analyses, and corrective action in a professional environment Knowledge of all wire and connector types on all AV related cabling Proficient terminating and troubleshooting of AV cabling Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time management skills Ability to work independently and make decisions with minimal supervision Ability to prioritize and work in a fast paced, high volume environment Other Requirements Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds Must have tools needed for all jobs. Must have valid drivers license Must be able to travel when needed Work Environment Regularly works with others; works inside or outside and around mechanical equipment and moving objects Usually work is performed at client location in town and out of town. May be required to work long hours, including nights and weekends; may work alone or with a team Required experience: Audio Visual installation:  2+ years’ experience Job

AV Design Engineer

The successful candidate must possesses excellent customer service skills, a strong work ethic, excellent organization skills and a solid understanding of AV Systems and must have proficiency in specifying and building a wide range of equipment configurations to support multiple types of projects, as well as troubleshooting and maintaining a range of electronic and digital equipment.

AV Design Engineer must have a broad range knowledge of technology and solutions across Pro AV & Broadcast., commissioning of multimedia systems, audio, video and control with a working knowledge of AVoIP technology and protocols as well as of IT, switching, routing and IT protocols. Additionally have a working knowledge of qualifying network hardware as related to multimedia. of audio and video signals, format types, resolution standards, and inputs/outputs such as HDMI, DisplayPort, DVI, SDI, IP, analog mic/line balanced, unbalanced, AESx, MADI, IP, etc. They should posses a vast knowledge Display technologies, flat panels, dvLED, projection as well as of digital signage platforms and video cameras across a broad range of application, image sensors, analytics, etc.. Also have familiarity and working knowledge with Pro AV technologies such as, but not limited to Biamp, BSS, DBX, QSC, Polycom, Cisco, Atlona, Atmosphere, Extron, Zoom, Samsung, Barco, Analog Way, etc, in order to design commercial AV systems from scratch. Important traits of the ideal candidate are the ability to troubleshoot, critical thinking and problem resolution with strong analytic skills.

the AV design Engineer must collaborate directly with engineering efforts on projects and global systems standards, be proficient in Autodesk AutoCAD software primarily in 2D  operations however experience and ability to operate 3D and Revit is a plus. They must posses the ability to understand Architectural drawings. All disciplines such as electrical, lighting, data, MEP., the ability to create system specific facility and electrical architectural drawings along with supporting details as well as the ability to create system diagrams and detail plans from provided designs. Additional tasks include review drawings for technical accuracy, industry standards and company standards and create supporting system documents, as directed.
